I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the people God has brought into our lives through Dream City Church.
And honestly…I’m just overwhelmed with gratitude.
There are people who show up every single Sunday. People who serve week after week, often behind the scenes, doing things most people will never even know about.
There are people who give sacrificially. People who pray for us. People who encourage us. People who have stood beside us through some really difficult seasons.
There are people who were with us in the very beginning, when all we had was a dream and a whole lot of faith.
And there are people who may not even live close enough to be here regularly anymore, but STILL believe in what God is doing through this house.
Some of you have never even walked through our doors, but you’ve supported the mission anyway.
And I just want you to know…
WE SEE YOU. WE LOVE YOU. AND WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR YOU.
Not because of what you do for us.
But because of WHO YOU ARE.
I don’t ever want Dream City to become a place where we get so busy building something for God that we forget to love and appreciate the PEOPLE He is using to build it.
Because the truth is…Dream City has never been about a building, a stage, a pastor, or a Sunday morning service.
It’s about JESUS.
It’s about people finding hope. Families being restored. Lives being changed. People who were far from God discovering just how much He loves them.
And every single person who has prayed, served, given, encouraged, invited somebody, shown up, or simply believed in the vision has played a part in that.
Some of you may never know this side of heaven just how much your faithfulness has mattered.
But I hope you know it matters to us.
Cara and I are so grateful that God has allowed us to walk this journey with so many incredible people.
We don’t take any of it for granted.
And whether you’re sitting in a chair at Dream City every Sunday, serving in a classroom, worshiping on a stage, supporting from a distance, or simply cheering us on…
THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN WHAT JESUS IS DOING HERE.
I love what Paul said in Philippians 1:3…
“Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.”
That’s exactly how I feel.
We may be the ones who get to stand up front and tell the stories of what God is doing…
BUT YOU ARE PART OF THOSE STORIES TOO.
And from the bottom of our hearts…
